📋 What is VP-223?
VP-223 is Nevada’s Certificate of Inspection and Affidavit of Trailer Construction used to inspect and certify a rebuilt, reconstructed, specially constructed, or kit trailer for registration/title under NRS 482.223. Part I is a DMV safety inspection (all applicable items must be marked PASS). Part II is the owner’s affidavit signed under oath and witnessed by a DMV representative or a Notary Public.

Confirm trailer category. Rebuilt, reconstructed, specially constructed, or manufactured kit.
Complete Part I (DMV inspection). Authorized DMV representative inspects and marks all applicable items as PASS.
Prepare Part II details. Owner gathers construction sources (materials on hand, receipts, kit, or purchased “as-is”) and IDs.
Appear & sign (jurat). Affiant signs Part II in front of a DMV representative or Notary Public; seal applied.
Submit to DMV. File VP-223 with any supporting documents and applicable fees for registration/title.
