What to know about this form

VP-012 duplicates are for printed title records. If your vehicle is in the Electronic Lien and Title (ELT) system, the lienholder controls the record and must act first (for example, electronically release the lien or request a printed title). After the ELT release posts, DMV prints and mails a clear paper title to the registered owner on file.
