How do I qualify for the late fee exemption using the VP-258 form?

To qualify, you must be on active duty in a combat or combat-support assignment when your Nevada registration expired. Submit the completed VP-258 at the time you renew; if the deployment dates cover the expiration period, the DMV will waive registration late fees (regular taxes/fees still apply).
